What to expect from the PADI Divemaster Course

This course is for those who are thinking about diving as a career or having the possibility of an awesome part time job. The PADI Divemaster program expands all the skills you have learnt throughout all your diving training. And also you will master your leadership skills and your overall knowledge of diving and life in the underwater world.

To learn to be a scuba diving leader and be in charge of dive activities, the course will develop a great variety of your skills, some of the topics include:

Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers

Diver safety and risk management

Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills

Awareness of the dive environment

Dive setup, dive briefings and making dive sites

Organizing a search & recovery project and a deep dive

Conducting a scuba review (refresh) and skin diver (snorkel) course

Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and, of course, leading Discover Local Diving programs (guided dives)

On competition of this course you will have the ability and the certification to work in the diving industry anywhere in the world. As a divemaster you supervise diving activities and assist PADI instructors in courses.

Divemaster Prerequisites

To enroll the course You need to have the PADI Rescue Diver certification.

Logged Dives At least 40 dives at the beginning of the course & 60 dives to be certified.

Emergency First Response You also need to be trained on Emergency First Response Training (Primary & Secondary Care with CPR and First Aid) within the past 24 months.

Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
