What to expect from the PADI Rescue Diver Course

Although diving is exciting, it can never be entirely risk-free. This course prepares you in case an emergency situation arises in or out of the water. At this stage you are already aware of some emergency situations that you may come across, such as an not confident diver, equipment malfunction, or a lost diver.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is a rewarding challenge, where you will learn new skills, adapt to new situations and grow as a diver. The course involves different exercises improving a range of different skills with one final scenario where your put all your new skills to work and a final exam where you will show all your theory and knowledge. Topics cover by the exercises include:

Self rescue

Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

Emergency management and equipment

Rescuing panicked divers

Rescuing unresponsive divers

Rescue Diver Prerequisites

To enroll the course You need to have the PADI (Junior) Adventure Divers and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive.

Emergency First Response You also need to be trained on Emergency First Response Training (Primary & Secondary Care with CPR and First Aid) within the past 24 months. But no worries, you can complete the training during your Rescue Diver course.
